Andrew Brown
Mix/Master/Recording Engineer, Session Drummer, Producer, Director & Man With Too Many Hats.
If you’ve ever seen the office, then you might know where Andrew bought this mug for himself. Please bring your sense of humor to your session.
Andrew is a graduate of Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music in Hollywood, California with a degree in drum/percussion performance.
Andrew spends his time recording and producing upcoming artists, shooting and directing music videos, playing drums for local artists/bands and teaching music. While in Los Angeles he also had the privilege to work with some well know artists, such as Scott Shriner of Weezer, Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe, and The Blue Man Group.
JASON FREY
Live/Mastering Engineer, Session Guitar/Bass Player, Cinematographer/Photographer
Jason is a seasoned audio engineer with over two decades of experience in live and studio settings. He can adapt to any situation and deliver a high-quality sound that matches your vision. Whether you need a crisp recording, a smooth mix, or a polished master, Jason will work with you patiently and attentively until you are satisfied. He also knows how to make the recording process fun and enjoyable, so you can express yourself fully and creatively. Besides engineering, Jason is also a talented musician who can play various genres of music with flair and finesse. He is also a skilled cinematographer and photographer who can capture stunning visuals to complement your sound. Jason is more than just an engineer, he is an artist who can help you bring your project to life.
James Ruggiero
Recording Engineer, Producer, Session Musician
James Ruggiero is a versatile musician and sound engineer with a background in jazz piano. He studied music production and engineering in college where he honed his skills in recording, mixing, and mastering various genres of music. He worked as a sound engineer at R&M Music Studios for many years, where he collaborated with talented artists and producers. He is currently involved in the Philadelphia gospel scene as a live sound technician, providing high-quality sound reinforcement for churches and events. He is passionate about creating and delivering music that inspires and uplifts people.
Kae
Recording/Mixing/Mastering Engineer, Producer, Session Musician
Kae is a versatile and experienced mixing & mastering engineer who can handle any genre of music. He has a rich musical background, from classical piano to psychedelic rock to jazz composition and bass. He honed his skills in the studio, working at Repercussions Studios and Spit Philly. Kae excels in hip-hop, jazz, and Alt/Indie styles, but he is also open to new challenges and genres. He can also take on a producer role, collaborating closely with the client and the music to achieve the best possible outcome. Kae is not just an engineer, he is a musician who understands your sound and vision.
John “Bee Keeper” Bogansky
Recording Engineer, Videographer, Session Drummer
John is a versatile and creative media producer who combines his passion for music and video to create engaging content. As a drummer and beat maker, he has collaborated with various artists and performed at various venues. As a videographer and video editor, he has worked on projects ranging from documentaries to commercials. John is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to showcase his skills and talents.
Casey Brown
Lighting Specialist, Camera Operator, Session Guitarist & Guitar Teacher
Casey holds a degree in music performance entrepreneurship from Penn State University. He is a proficient guitarist, photographer and cinematographer with a wide range of experience. He also specializes in lighting design and guitar instruction. He works closely with his clients to produce high-quality films that suit their requirements and expectations.
Jake Dillon
Producer, Song Writer, Session Keyboardist/Drummer
Jake is a versatile and talented musician who can play multiple instruments, compose original scores, and produce captivating songs. He has collaborated with many local artists across various genres and styles, bringing his creativity and passion to every project.
Justin Hall
Recording Engineer, Session Musician, Videographer
Justin is a born and raised musician, receiving his first guitar from his dad at 5 years old. With 20 years of experience on guitar, he picked up several other instruments along the way including Bass, Keys, and Vocals. He has played in several bands and done hundreds of live shows. He started his music production journey right here at light & sound studio, learning under the founder Andrew for the past several years. In his free time he enjoys skateboarding, photography, graphic design and writing his own music.
