How to prepare for your 1st session
Recording costs can add up, so to make the most of your time, it’s important to come in prepared.
Focus on one song
Trying to do too much in a session will slow down the process. Get the meat and potatoes down before moving to another song.
Practice!
Knowing all your parts is one thing, but nailing them on the 1st take is another. It can save a ton of time tracking if you already have all the lyrics, chords and rhythms memorized and tight.
Have solid foundation
Magic always happens. Coming up with new ideas in the studio is inevitable, but using studio time to start a song from scratch can eat up that time quickly.
